"Is It Love?" is a choice-driven dark comedy about some pretty messed up people. You've got Sarah, your real sister, and Lily, your adopted sister who's been ditched by her biological parents, unlike her sister Zoey who they kept. Lily's got some deep scars and she's filling them with a mix of violence and a weird bond with you.

One wild night, Lily storms into your room, threatening to kill herself unless you bail from your house forever. For whatever fucked up reason, you agree. With fake IDs in hand, you enroll in a local college for some free housing. You've been riding along with Lily's plan, but now you're starting to wonder—what exactly are you running from? What did your family do to her?

What will you turn into — a guy who fucks with people and wrecks lives like Lily, someone who sticks to the rules like Sarah, or something totally different? The game features a large number of characters with unique stories and connected routes.

Quick Update - May 17: Roadmap to v0.1 and Steam

I've been so focused on setting up the Steam page in my free time and trying not to get fired from my job because the economy is shit that the time to work on the game has been a bit limited. Didn't get fired - but completely exhausted from insane hours. Still doing family-friendly game dev - which is hilarious given what I do under this persona. 

If only all of them knew my real side...

My adjusted goal is to release v0.1 on the 31st of May. I know it's slow, but I want to make sure that my entry as an adult dev isn't a failure, so I'd rather develop more content first. I feel pretty comfortable about that date, which allows me to finish all the scenes I wanted at a moderate pace.

In the meantime, check out some steam stuff. Fingers crossed it gets approved first try (the top tags are kinda weird). As a reminder - Steam will have a clean version, with a patch available - otherwise the game won't sell:


"Where is Love?" is a dark, choice-driven comedy that questions love and family, with cocaine's sting in your nostrils and the acrid aftertaste of vodka. 

I am pretty happy with that description... There is still some language to polish, but it communicates the vibe well.


While I am not bad at writing dialogue and story - this sort of more promotional language is a bit more difficult. But that's why I post this stuff - feedback or suggestions are always appreciated.

I will probably go silent until the game is done just so I can concentrate on content production - may post some pics and link to Steam.

Weekly Report - May 11: Almost halfway to the first release!




"Is It Love?" v0.1 is 40% done. I finished (most) writing, and now working on the visual and audio bits.

The process is a bit too involved right now, so I will just leave a full update for later. It's hard to show writing as an update, and the production of visual elements is now the primary focus.

The game will always be available for free on f95. Duh. Also working on a Steam page - which will distribute the safe version of the game with an adult patch.

In the meantime, here are some animations (forgive the reduced quality, the duration is long):


Again, I don't want to create a normal porn game - in the sense that it is fully driven by adult content. Instead, I want the content, romance, and adult themes to be properly balanced.

First peek into animations

NSFW Peek - My First Animation (that doesn't suck, probably)

Developed my first animation after a lot of attempts and practice... The quality is slightly shitty because of the gif compression, but I am pretty happy overall
Takes about 14 hours of rendering for 5 seconds, which is fine.
Had to render it three times because I was practicing different lighting and angles, so about 50 hours overall. But I use a separate instance of Daz, so I tend to do other work in parallel.
Maybe I can mess around a bit more with the lens zooming in. That's only one of the angles
Can you guys recommend me some games where you would say that the scenes are amazing? Just so I can take a look at good examples.

Development Update - May 5: Detailed v0.1 Roadmap and Improved Lighting Quality

Hey everyone! These development updates are here to give you a deeper look at what I'm working on beyond our regular weekly updates.
Super grateful to 8 people who followed the page despite it being pretty new! Hope to keep growing! I will also be doing some revamps of the overview pages about the game - since it was communicated to me that it isn't clear what the game focuses on exactly.

So just to summarize the key aspects of the game to the new readers: 
  • Incest - main subject, with a realistic take on all complexities of such relationships.
  • Harem - you are not stuck with one central character.
  • Deeply Choice-Driven - no common routes, each choice leads to unique events.
  • Love, Violence, Addiction - relationships and characters shaped by choices.
  • Dark Comedy - navigating the story with satire and smirk. 

I hope it's getting clearer, I'm still figuring out the best way to communicate it clearly.

Let's dive into other updates!

v0.1 Roadmap

I'm excited to announce that I've completed the story and routing for v0.1. This should give you a good idea of the deep level of choices available in the game. You are supposed to play through the game multiple times and see vastly different outcomes based on your decisions. This includes the main storyline impacts through the "Consciousness" system and various character paths that change depending on your previous choices.
I really enjoy games with strong non-linear elements, like the ones seen in Class of '09, and I'm aiming to bring that same dynamic to our game.

Lighting & Style Overhaul 

I've also overhauled the close-up shots and face lighting. The images are now much clearer, sharper, and more detailed. I've settled on a lighting style that I'm pretty happy with.
Initially, I held back on producing too many renders to focus on nailing the style first. Now that I'm more confident in how it looks, I'll start ramping up production.
It took some time to figure out the best lighting approaches, but I'm feeling good about the results now. There's always room for improvement, so I'm keen to keep tweaking and enhancing the visuals.
While I am confident with the development and writing bits, the 3D stuff is still a learning process. But I'm having a lot of fun (compared to doing boring dev work in Unity).
If I ever get some money flowing, finding a 3D person would be so helpful... That's the core place where I struggle with the quality, but hopefully, I can learn quickly enough.

But anyway, working hard to get to the v0.1 build! I will be posting more updates!

Weekly Report - May 2: Development has started!

This is the first weekly report where I share my results from the previous week, and identify my goals for the next week. If you like or comment, that would be very much appreciated!

Progress Report - Start of the Game

The game starts off very casually... You run away from home with your adopted sister and we join the characters partying in the club.

Now, ask yourself... What is the best way to spend quality time with your sister?



Obviously, the answer is to snort meth from the belly of a bartender.

Is this what you are supposed to do with siblings?


MC: "We've only run away from home two months ago, and are about to be addicted to crank. What are we even escaping?"
Lily: "Don't bullshit me! What you really want to do is to climb this counter and lick that girl clean!"

Now... whether you will actually do it is up to you. And it's not about skipping a single scene, the story develops in different ways based on how you choose to interact with the people around you.

Partly inspired by Being a Dik "Dik and Chick" system, the game is intended to be replayed and experienced in different ways. Those pathways are not necessarily good or bad, life isn't black and white.



Next Development Steps

In the language of "Is It Love?", a choice can either skew you to positive, neutral, or chaotic routes, and the characters will react and treat you accordingly.

The relationships between you and your siblings (Sarah, Lily, and Zoey) have a central focus, but it doesn't mean that you are pigeonholed into one of those options, without other outcomes.

It's not your typical adult game. I want to take the narrative further, make the relationships complicated and meaningful, same way they are in the real life.

It's a lot of work, and I will make mistakes. I hope to build a community that cares about the game enough to explain what works and doesn't, and keep working towards improving this title.

The writing and artwork are already proceeding with full steam ahead. I am working to finalize the introduction scenes that familirize you with the world, and develop branches with Lily and Sarah, depending on the choices you made.
